I was up very early for some reason this morning, so decided to craft, making this card.
I started by masking off the edges of a piece of white card, marking on the masking tape the approximate placement where the stamp would be. I used a technique Eileen Godwin shared a couple of years back, where you create lines of colour off the edge of a piece of paper/acetate/ruler. To do this, I used four shades of Ranger Archival Inks, using Sky Blue, Garden Patina, Leaf Green and Watering Can.
I then stamped the image, which is an Andy Skinner stamp called "I'll be your umbrella", purchased from Country View Crafts. I used Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink to stamp in. I added colour to the stamped image using Derwent Inktense pencils.
Another beautiful Andy Skinner stamp Sam, and I do remember when Eileen first did these lines on her backgrounds, and very effect they are too. I do love the way you have arranged them in a criss cross and fairly even way before added the sweet little figure and standing out well with the bright red umbrella and orange coat. x
