I was up early this morning making this Autumn card - I think the drizzly weather we've had the last day or so is rubbing off on me!
I started by positioning the Sweet Poppy "Rose Aperture Stencil" over a piece of white card and going around the edges lightly with "Peat Moss" Ranger Archival Ink.
Next, I lay the Sweet Poppy "Plaid Back Plate Stencil" over the top of the leaf stencil, securing with low tack tape. I then applied several shades of Ranger Archival Ink through the stencil using a blending brush. The colours I used were : Tea Rose, Monarch Orange, Fern Green and Sepia.
Removing the Plaid stencil, I then lay the Sweet Poppy "Maple Leaf Stencil" over the top, using "Plum" Ranger Archival Ink through the stencil with a blending brush.
I used Versafine Clair "Chianti" dark red ink, to stamp the Autumn verse, which is part of the Sweet Poppy "A6 Season" stamp set. Finally, adding extra detail using a gold metallic pen.
Beautiful stencil Sam, love the autumnal colours too... guess it's on the way in your part of the world xx

DeleteWhat a fabulous CAS card Sam, and the combination of the open leaf shape and the plaid background stencil together is absolutely perfect. I love the deep red and the brown and green with the autumn themed words and pretty maple leaves too. x
