Another softer looking card, this time using stamps and stencils from Clartiy Stamps.
I started this card by laying the Clarity "Leafy Swirl" stencil over the top of a piece of white card, securing it with low tack tape.
This stencil is quite tricky to use as there is a lot of empty space between the design and the actual swirls are very thin, so I had to be extra careful when applying the Ranger Archival Ink (Pink Peony and Forget-Me-Not) through the stencil with a blending brush. In fact I found I got a better result by just resting the brush bristles on the surface rather than moving the brush around too much.
Once I was happy with the coverage, I inked the edge of the card using Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink then stamped the foliage swirls using the Clarity "Leafy Swirl" stamp set. I used the same ink to stamp the anniversary sentiment, using the Clarity A6 "Anniversary Occasions Sentiment" stamp set.
Finally, I added a little extra detail to the leaves with a white gel pen and added dots of Ranger Enamel Accents to the end of some of the larger stamped swirls.
The Clarity Leafy Swirls are beautiful Sam, and the complementary Leafy Swirl stencil makes a wonderful background and love the colours you have used. x
