Day 21 of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2022"

It is Day 21 of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2022" today it is all about layers.  If you would like to see Karen's tutorial, click here.

Like Karen, I have chosen some of my lesser used colours of Distress Oxide Inks.  Mine being:  Dried Marigold, Bundled Sage, Victorian Velvet and Dusty Concorde.  All applied in random positions on to the tag.

I then used a selection of Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz stencils, with the same coloured inks to create layers.  The stencils I used are "THS103", "THMM101" and "THMM102".

I used another Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stencil called "Bouquet Layering Stencil - THS143", spritzing the stencil with water, then laying it down over the coloured tag.  Lifting the stencil and blotting with a piece of kitchen towel, resulting in a bleached pattern look.  I then gave it a blast with the heat gun to dry.

I used Wow! clear embossing ink through areas of a Funky Fossil stencil called "Starry Night".  I then applied "Vanilla Sparkle" Wow! Embossing Powder and heat set.

In my craft stash, I found a stamp with the word "Create" which I stamped into the bottom corner using Versafine Clair "Monarch Ink.

I inked the edges of the tag using "Wilted Violet" Distress Oxide ink and then mounted the tag on to navy coloured card.
