I saw the Lavinia Stamps Emma Jo "Stag Tag" tutorial, it's number 8 in a series of 12, and decided to give it a go.
I used three Elements Inks: Blue Atoll, Red Emperor and Dark Denim for the background colour with the Lavinia Stamps "Stag" sticker, which is in the Sticker Stencil pack 4 set.
I used a Wow! Clear embossing ink pad and the Wow Super fine "Metallic Silver" embossing powder and heat set using the Lavinia Stamps "Winter Magic" stamp.
I added splatters to the background using a fan brush and water. I also added dots of silver glitter pen around the stag, in the background and also edged the tag in silver too.
Finally, I used a white gel pen and "Ruby Red" Liquid Pearls to create hanging baubles from the antlers.
Beautifully done Sam,a gorgeous icy background and wonderful stamped image

DeleteI watched Emma's video and I think you have made a brilliant job Sam and I particularly love your blue, and you have the baubles hanging down where unfortunately some of hers were hanging uphill, sorry sounds a bit critical but I understand she was under time constraints on the video and these things happen. I also love the silver embossing which is so crisp, and some great shading on Rudolph, and love the bright red nose. x
ReplyDeleteHi Pat, I know what you mean about the "uphill" comment. I think Emma-Jo maybe should have done the hangers first and then add the baubles to them. That's the way I did mine. That way you can choose your spacing better, but like you say for her there were time constraints, where as I was able to take my time. x
