Funky Fossil Designs "Love &" Anniversary Card

Celebrating our anniversary today.  I used two stencils by Funky Fossil Designs and one of thier stamp sets to make this card.

I lay the aperture of the "Woodgrain Hearts" stencil over a piece of card, taping it into position.  I then lay the "Sweet Hearts" stencil over the top and applied Archival ink, using five different shades and moving the stencil with each colour so that the heart shape was almost filled with colour.

I used the Funky Fossil "Love &" stamp set to stamp the sentiments using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Foxes" Card

After the last card I made, I had an idea of how to use the new Lavinia Stamps "Replenish Stencil" in an alternative way, so of course I had to give it a try!

Using Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown Ink, I multi stamped the Lavinia "Tree Branch".  I then loosely shaded the sky area around the branches using Distress Oxide inks.  I then created the landscape in the foreground using Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.

Using the new Lavinia Stamps "Replenish Stencil" and various shades of green Archival inks I created the look of leaves around the tree branch.

I then started to stamp the foxes, using both "Fox Set 1 & 2", in three shades of Versafine Clair Inks.

I used various Lavinia foliage stamps in the foreground and then added detail to the foxes and tree branch using Van Goch Pastel Pencils, Posca Pens and Gel Pens.

Lavinia Stamps "Bron" on a Brusho Background

Before I went out this morning to visit a friend, I had just enough time to finish this card.

I used a Brusho background from my stash that I had made some months ago.  I then used an Archival Ink through the new Lavinia Stamps stencil called "Replenish" which has a lovely elongated multi heart design.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" to stamp "Bron" the fairy, the "Tree Branch" and the foliage.  Using Van Goch Pastel pencils, Posca Pens and Gel Pens for colouring and highlighting areas.

Lavinia Stamps "Star" birthday card

Super talented "Eilleen Godwin" recently made a tutorial to make a Christmas card using the stars from the new Lavinia Stamps "Words 2" stencil.  I decided to put a spin on it and make a birthday card.

I masked off an area on the card, then I used three shades of Archival Inks:  Buttercup, Manganese Blue and Vibrant Fuschia through the stars on the new Lavinia Stamps "Words 2" stencil to fill the area between the two pieces of tape.

I stamped the birthday sentiment, which is part of the "Heartfelt Verse" stamp set, stamped in Versfine Clair "Nocturne" black ink. I used a Posca Pen to add white splatters across the surface of the stars. I covered the edges of the stamped area with a black pen and then added three dots of Ranger Enamel Accents.

Lavinia Stamps "Trinity" on a Lattice stencilled background

Another make using one of the new Lavinia Stamps stencils that were released last Friday.

I have used two shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Saltwater Taffy and Weathered Wood) through the new "Lattice" stencil for the background.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp "Trinity" the fairy, Free Your Creativity sentiment and the Flutterbies.

I stamped the flowers from the "Flora" stamp set in Versfine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  I added highlights of colour using gel pens.

Lavinia Stamps "Wild Poppies" on a Devine Stencilled background

Continuing my play wih the new Lavinia Stamps stencils, I made this card.

Using the "Divine" stencil I partially heat embossed a section of the card using Wow! Embossing ink and their "Mistletoe Magic" embossing powder.

I then used three shades of "Elements Inks" Pine, Blue Lagoon and Russet Orange for the area that wasn't heat embossed.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the "Wild Poppies" and the sentiment, which is part of the "Heartfelt Verse" stamp set.

Lavinia Stamps "Eden" on an "Ambiance" stencilled background

I was stalking the Postman this morning, waiting for the delivery of my Lavinia Stamps order of the new stencils, released last Friday.  Fortunately, I didn't have too long to wait and made this card.

I used the Lavinia "Lime Punch" Elements ink through their new "Ambiance" stencil for the background.

I stamped the Lavinia "Eden" the fairy, Pipin and the "Heartfelt Verse" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.

I used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink to stamp the flowers using the "Foliage Set" and the "Mini Stars" around the fairy.  Finally, adding touches of colour using Posca and Gel pens.

Lavinia Stamps "Fip" and "Brodwyn" Card

I was awake stupidly early this morning, so decided to get up and craft, making this card using Lavinia Stamps.

I used Distress Oxide Inks through the Lavinia Stamps "Tall Leaf Mask/Stenci" in the background.  I stamped "Fip" and "Brodwyn" in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and the "Birch Tree" in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

I've used a Brusho off-cut from a previous project for the central area of this card.  I used the Funky Fossil Designs "Mini Daschunds" stencil with Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I used the same ink to stamp the sentiments, which are part of the Funky Fossil "Happy Words" stamp set.

Funky Fossil Design "Fern" on a polka dot background

For this card, I've used "Bundled Sage" and "Tea Dye" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil Designs "Large Polka Dot" stencil.

Lavinia Stamps "Stag" in the mist card

I've been playing with my Lavinia Stamps again today, making this card featuring the very majestic looking stag.

I used two pieces of masking tape to protect the edges of the area I would be working on.  First I created the background using three shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Weathered Wood, Bundled Sage and Speckled Egg.

I've used two shades of Versafine Clair (Nocturne and Morning Mist) for stamping the following Lavinia Stamps:  Stag, Foliage Set, Red Pine, Small Branch and Woodland Fern.

To create the misty look, I used a finger dabber with Hero Arts "Unicorn" white ink.

Funky Fossil "Stripey Meadow Silhouette" Card

This afternoon, I pulled a couple more Funky Fossil Designs stencils from my stash to play with making this simple card.

I masked off the edges of the card and used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" through the "Simply Stripes" stencil.  Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink through the Funky Fossil "Meadow Flower Silhouette" stencil.  I used the same ink for the sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set.

Lavinia Stamps "Floral Spray" Card (credit to Eileen Godwin for her tutorial)

I was at a loose end this evening, so watched one of Eileen Godwin's tutorials, called "Abstract Circles".  I have used different inks and different stamps but the idea is all Eileens.

I used three shades of Archival Inks for this card: Cornflower Blue, Sunflower and Poppy.

I used a retired Lavinia Stamp called "Floral Spray" and a sentiment from their "Heartfelt Verse" sentiment stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

I have used "Victorian Velvet" Distress Oxide Ink to colour in the flower. also using a black and a white pen and Enamel Accents for the large black dots.

Funky Fossil Designs "Rotated Blockade Stencil" card

I decided to have a play with the Funky Fossil Designs "Blockade" stencil to see how I could use it other than filling the gaps with one colour.

I picked four shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Abandoned Coral and Candied Apple).

I used tape to hold the stencil in place, then used the lightest ink to fill in all the stencil gaps.  I then lifter the stencil, rotated it by a quarter and used the next shade of ink.  I did this four times till I had used the darkest shade.

To top the card, I used the Funky Fossil "Hello Sentiment" die and adhered over the top of the stencilled background.

Lavinia Stamps "Stag in the moonlight" card

This morning, I received a small order from Lavinia Stamps, as I needed a few bits and bobs, which included the "Stag" stamp, which I thought I had, but could not locate.  I wasted no time in having a play session with the stamp making this card.

I've used a Brusho background from my stash as the base, adding areas of ink through the Lavinia Stamps "Posy Stencil".

I have stamped in various shades of Versafine Clair ink (Monarch, Nocturne and Acorn), using the following stamps:

  • Stag
  • Small Branch
  • Foliage Set
  • Woodland Fern
  • Red Pine
  • Small Fairy Fir
I also used Posca Pens, Gel Pens and Van Goch Pastel Pencils to highlight areas.

Funky Fossil Designs "Love &" Water Colour Lines Card

This morning I have played with a Funky Fossil Designs stamp set and stencil to create this CAS card.

I used eight shades of Distress Oxide Inks( Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Candied Apple), through the Funky Fossil Designs "Watercolour Lines" stencil.

I then used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink with the Funky Fossil Designs "Love &" stamp set to stamp the words and heart.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Phoenix" SP1-136 Card

For the background of this card I have used a background made from mopping up Distress Inks from previous projects.  A real mish-mash of colours that I felt would likely only work with something black on it.

I decided to use the Sweet Poppy Stencil "Phoenix" (SP1-136) stencil with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne" black ink through the stencil, applied with a blending brush.

I used the same ink to stamp the Lavinia Stamps "Dream" sentiment, which is part of the "Inspire Me" stamp set.  Finally adding a few splatters of black and white Posca Pen paint.

Lavinia Stamps "Zelith" underwater scene card

I've used the beautiful Lavinia Stamps "Zelith" stamp as the main feature of this card, along with an assortment of others at the base (Urchins, Marine Kelp, Foliage Set and Twisted Vine Set) stamped in Versafine Clair Inks.

In the background, I have used the "Lime Punch" and "Graphite" Elements Inks through the Lavinia "Coral" stencil.  I have also used Posca and Gel Pens for extra detail.

Lavinia Stamps "Snails" card

Thumbing through some of my backgrounds I have made previously, I came across one that caught my eye.  I'd used Dylusion Spray Inks and as the sheet was quite large, I decided to cut it in half before I started this project.  This is the half that I used, I then cut it down further to create a 4" square.

The colours of the sheet made me think of a night scene, so I went in that direction.  Masking off a moon and filling the circle with white and light yellow Pan Pastels and then used Van Goch Pastel Pencils to add shading to the moon.

I then stamped part of the Lavinia Stamps "Creeping Vine" and then both the snails from the "Snail Set" in Versafine Clair 'Nocturne" black ink.

I then stamped the "Spring Trees" in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  Next I stamped the foliage in the foreground, using the "Foliage Set" and the Woodland Fern" stamps.

I used a white Signo Pen, a gold shimmer gel pen and some Posca Pens for extra detail.

Lavina Stamps "Maple Leaf" Card

I made a quick and simple card this morning using two sizes of the Lavinia Stamps "Maple Leaf" stamps and one of the "Heartfelt Verse" sentiments.

Stamping is in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink in first and second generation stamping on a "Chrome Yellow" Archival Ink background.

I have used touches of a white and a metallic gold pen to highlight areas of the card.

Sweet Poppy "Blissful" Stencil three ways

Today I have made three items using the same Sweet Poppy "Blissful" stencil. They are all quite different so I decided to show them all together.

The top left has a folk art feel where I've used a gel plate background.

The bottom left has a fresh clean and simple look to it, with stamping in Archival Inks.

For the tag on the right I have heat embossed both the stencil image and the sentiment.

Sweet Poppy "Blissful" Stencil heat embossed gift tag

Well I didn't tidy my desk away and after dinner, decided to use the Sweet Polly "Blissful" stencil again, this time heat embossing using Wow! Jealous Guy embossing powder.

I used the same embossing powder for the Waffle Flower "Happy Birthday" stamp from thier "Essential Sentiments" stamp set.

Sweet Poppy "Blissful Stencil" CAS Card

As the Sweet Poppy "Blissful" stencil was still out on my desk from the earlier project, I decided to use it again, this time making a CAS card - a total contrast from the previous one!

I used two shades of Archival Ink:  "Prickly Pear" for the lighter shade and "Leaf Green" for the darker. I then used the remaining ink on the blending brush to give background colour on the leaf corner.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink for the "thinking of you" sentiment, which is part of the Waffle Flower "Essential Sentiments" stamp set.

Finally, I used "White Opal" Liquid Pearls to add extra detail to the foliage.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Blissful" on a Pan Pastel background

Up early this morning as I couldn't sleep, so had a play with Sweet Poppy Stencils making this card.

I found a gel plate background in my stash that I had made months ago, using Pan Pastels.  I thought it had quite a rustic look to it, so I paired it with the Sweet Poppy Stencil called "Blissful" using Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze' Ink to give it a more folk art look.

Around the edge of the card, I used another Sweet Poppy Stencil called "Grid Plate" with the same ink.

I added splatters of white and black Posca Pens and then highlighted areas using a gold gel pen.

Lavinia Stamps "Gaggle of Geese" on a Brusho background

I've had a few days away in the caravan, so while the third load of washing is in the machine, doing its thing, I thought I would have a play with my Lavinia Stamps.

I found a small off cut of a Brusho background from a previous project.  I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Gaggle of Geese" and the "Just for you" sentiment (part of the Heartfelt Verse stamp set) in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

I used "Warm Breeze" Versafine Clair ink around a moon mask and also around the edge of the inner area.  Using a black pastel pencil, I created a reflection of the bank the geese stand on.

For the border, I used "Spiced Marmalade" Distress Oxide Inks through the Lavinia Stamps "Abstract" stencil/mask, then added splatters of the same ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Tree of Dreams" on a Brusho background

Today, in total contrast to the black and white card I made yesterday, I have used a background from my stash with a whole rainbow of colours courtesy of Brushos.

I used the Lavinia Stamps "Tree of dreams" stamp as the main focal point, stamped in Versafine Clair 'Nocturne" black ink.  While the ink was out, I stamped the sentiment "Once upon a dream" in the same ink.

I added a landscape and then foliage using "Purple Delight" and "Monarch" Versafine Clair Inks.  I used the following Lavinia Stamps fro the foliage area:

  • Berry Leaves
  • Spanish Moss
  • Foliage Set
  • Silhouette Grass
I added highlights of colour using Posca Pens, Gel Pens, Pastel Pencils and Liquid Pearls

  • Cherry Blossom Tree

Lavinia Stamps "Fairy Dandelions" Birthday Card

A simple birthday card featuring Lavinia Stamps.

I've used Versafine Clair "Monarch" and "Charming Pink to stamp the following Lavinia Stamps:

  • Fairy Dandelions
  • Lunar Buds
  • Floral Set
  • Heartfelt Verse
There is a little bit of sparkle on the card, where I have used a glitter gel pen, sadly the photograph doesn't pick up that detail.
