Lavinia Stamps "Charming Stencil" with "Zenith" and the "Urchins"

Today was an exciting post day as I received my order of six brand new 8x8" stencil from Lavinia Stamps.  

I hadn't planned to play with them, as there are other things that I should be doing, but I couldn't help myself, making this card. 

I've used "Zenith" mermaid as the main feature, heat embossed in silver Wow! Silver embossing powder.  I then used the new "Charming" stencil with various shades of Distress oxide inks.

I used the Lavinia Stamps "Urchins", "Sea Bubbles", "Sea Algae" and "Zen Plant" for the undergrowth

Funky Fossil "Indian Mandala Stencil" Anniversary Card

I've made a quick anniversary card this morning using the Funky Fossil "Indian Mandala Stencil" with three shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon).

I've used a sentiment from the "Essential Sentiments" by "My Favourite Things", stamped in "Warm Breeze" Distress Oxide Ink and then die cut into a banner.  Finally, I added some touches of gold to areas of the card using a metallic gold pen.

I've been playing with the Funky Fossil "Funky Fruit" stamp set that I have paired with the Funky Fossil "Pearfect" stencil. 

I've used "Bundled Sage" Distress Oxide ink through the "Pearfect" stencil.  Stamped the pear in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and coloured it with various shades of Distress Oxide Inks and Sakura and Signo pens.

I've used Wow! clear embossing ink and Wow! Rich Gold embossing powder for the sentiment.

Funky Fossil "In The Meadow" Card

Today has been a day when none of my crafting attempts have turned out, all ending in the bin.  I did however save a small off cut of a Brusho background and after having dinner decided to make a quick little card, which I am happy with.

Over the Brusho background, I used the Funky Fossil "Fern Silhouette Background Stencil" with "Abandoned Coral" Distress Oxide Ink.

I used the Funky Fossil "In The Meadow" stamp set for the flowers, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Finally, I used a sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.  I used the same ink to edge the card before mounting it on black card and then a white card blank.

I've had a play with one of the new Funky Fossil Designs stencils called "Mwah"!, coloured with "Candied Apple" Distress Oxide Ink. paired with the Funky Fossil "Graphic Words" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

"Hello Birthday Girl" Card

I've been on a mission with housework today, but decided to have half an hour off at my craft desk. 

Some months ago, I made a bokeh stylecard using various sizes of circles.  I had a thought that using the  "Funky Fossil Party Balloon Stencil" with the same technique would make a good background for a birthday card, so decided to have a play.

I used assorted colours of Distress Oxide Inks through the stencil (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry), starting with the lightest colour, working through to the darkest, until I had covered the whole area.

I used a Waffle Flower "Over Hello Sized Word Die" cut in pink card and adhered over the balloon background.  The sentiment is also by Waffle Flower and is part of their "Oversized Hello" sentiment set stamped in Versafine Clair "Purple Delight" ink.

Funky Fossil Designs "Ferns" Dies release day

Funky Fossil Designs are launching several new products this Friday, 18th June 2021, including stamps, patterned papers, dies and washi tape. 

For this sample I have used a sheed of the new patterned paper called "Neutrals" for the base. I have then die cut some ferns and adhered to the patterned paper.

I stamped a snail on to white card, using the Funky Fossil "Snail Mail" stamp set.  I then coloured it with Distress Oxide Inks and a Sakura sparkly pen.  I then adhered to the card.

Finally, I added the "You Snailed it" sentiment (also from the Snail Mail stamp set) stamped in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink and added Ranger Glossy Accents to the shell and eyes of the snail.

Today, Funky Fossil Designs release lots of new goodies on their web site, including stamp sets, patterned paper, washi tape and dies too. 

I've opted for a clean and simple look for this sample using the new Fern stamp set.  Stamping the fern in Versafine Clair "Glamorour" ink.  I coated it in Wow! clear embossing powder and heat set.

I used the Funky Fossil "Burlap Texture" stencil for the background with "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide Ink.

Finally, for the sentiment I used a sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Small Print 2" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Glamorous" pink ink.

Today, Funky Fossil Designs launch lots of fabulous new goodies, including stamp sets, dies, washi tape and patterned papers too.

For this sample, I have layered up some of the new patterned paper from the "Neutrals" pack and teamed it with the new "Coffee & Friends" stamp set, stamping in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink and adding metallic gold accents.

I've used the new "Chilled Chicas" Stamp set for this sample, coloured with Posca Pens,paired with the Funky Fossil stencil called "Abstract Ovals", coloured with "Mustard Seed" Distress Ink.  The sentiment is part of the Funky Fossil "Happy Words" stamp set and stamped in Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" ink.

Funky Fossil Designs "Flower Felines" new stamp release day

Today is the day that Funky Fossil Designs  launch a selection of new products on their web site, including this fabulous new stamp set called "Flowery Felines" designed by the super talented Donna Gray.

For this sample, I have used paper that I used to mop up ink from my craft mat from a previous project.  I cut it to a square and then used the new Funky Fossil A7 Chevron stamp, with Wow! clear embossing ink and powder to stamp the chevrons and then heat set, to give a bit of texture to the background.

I stamped the cat, part of the "Flowery Felines" stamp set in Verafine "Vintage Sepia" brown ink.  I coloured the cat using "Antique Linen Distress Oxide Inks and coloured the flowers using "Twisted Citron", "Mowed Lawn" and "Worn Lipstick" Disttress Oxides.  I fussy cut the image and adhered on to the card base prepared.

Finally, I used the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set for the sentiment with Versafine Clair "Glamorous" ink.

For this sample, I have used the new "Chilled Chicas" stamp set, on a background created using the Funky Fossil "Daisy Background Stencil" with "Spun Sugar" Distress Oxide Inks.  The sentiment is from another Funky Fossil stamp set called "Happy Words".  The small detail in the background is part of the Funky Fossil "Lotus Reflections" stamp set

Funky Fossil Designs "Chilled Chicas" new stamp preview 1

Funky Fossil Designs will be releasing more fabulous new products, this Friday, 18th June 2021, including a stamp set I've used to make these AT Coins.  It's called "Chilled Chicas".

I used Funky Fossil "MDF Coins" for the base, applying gesso as a primer.  The paint I used on top was various shades of Paperartsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic paints.

I stamped the faces on to Rice Paper using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink and coloured, then applied with a brush PVA glue to adhere the rice paper.

I used various Funky Fossil stencils to create the background colour.  I then used Posca Pens to create the flowers over the top.

This Friday, 18th June 2021, Funky Fossil Designs will be releasing a selection of fabulous new products, including stamps, patterned paper, dies and washi tape.

For this sample, I have used a background I'd created using sprinkled and spritzed Brusho granules. I then repeat stamped the ferns in alternate directions, using Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I then cut diagonally in half.

I used a sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set, which says "Follow your dreams, they know the way" in Wow! clear embossing ink and then sprinkled Wow! Rich gold embossing powder over and heat set.

Funky Fossil Designs are launching lots of new goodies on their site this Friday, 18th June 2021.  Including patterned paper, stamps, dies and washi tapes.

For this sample, I have used the new Fern stamp set and the paper from the new "Neutrals" paper pack.

I started with a dark sheet of patterned paper with a design similar to a basket weave on it.  I multi stamped one of the ferns in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and coated the images with Wow! clear embossing powder and heat set.

I used the Funky Fossil "Thank You" sentiment die cut as the main feature of the card.  Mounting the whole card on another piece of the "neutrals" patterned paper.

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing a fabulous selection of new products on Friday 18th June 2021, including this fabulous new stamp set called "Flowery Felines" designed by the super talented Donna Gray. 

For the background, I have used "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide Ink.  I then lay the Funky Fossil "Pawprint Background" stencil over the top and applied "Carved Pumpkin" Distress Oxide ink through the stencil.

I used one of the stamps from the new "Flowery Feline" stamp sets and stamped the image onto the card, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I then stamped the same image on to white card.  I coloured the cat with a Posca Pen and then fussy cut the shape and adhered over the top of the cat on the card.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment, which is part of the same stamp set.

On Friday 18th June, Funky Fossil Designs will be launching some fabulous new products, including, stamps, washi tape, dies and patterned paper.  This is a sample that I have made using one of the new stmap sets, "Flowery Felines".

To make this card, I have used a sheet of patterned paper from the new Funky Fossil "Neutrals" patterned paper.  

Over the patterned paper, I used the Funky Fossil "Slimline Upright Brick Wall Stencil" with two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Wild Honey and Fired Brick.

For the grass area at the base of the wall, I used the Funky Fossil "Scenic Borders Stencil" with "Mowed Lawn" and "Rustic Wilderness" Distress Oxide Inks.

I stamped the cat in the flower pot, part of the new Funky Fossil "Flowery Felines" stamp set on to the card and then again on to a piece of white card, using Versafine "Vintage Sepia" ink.  I then coloured the flower pot with "Pumice Stone" Distress Oxide inks and coloured the flowers on the pot and the cat with Posca Pens.

I used the banner from another Funky Fossil stamp set called "Let's Party" , also in Vintage Sepia ink and then coloured with Posca pens.  

I stamped the sentiment of "have a purrfect day" in Versafine Clair "shady lane" green ink.

Funky Fossil Designs launch some fabulous new products on Friday 18th June 2021, including a new stamp set called "Coffee & Friends".  I've paired the stamp set with the Funky Fossil "Coffee Bean Heart stencil" to make this card.

I used three shades of Distress Oxide Inks through the stenicil:  Spun Sugar, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo.  I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

Funky Fossil Designs "Coffee & Friends" New Stamp Preview

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing some fabulous new products on Friday 18th June 2021, including the stamp set that I have used for this sample, using the new set called "Coffee & Friends".

I started this sample by using the Funky Fossil "Mason Jar stencil" and the "Coffee Bean Heart Stencil", using the following shades of Distress Oxide Inks: Brushed Corduroy, Walnut Stain, Ground Espresso, Weathered Wood and Tumbled Glass.

For the surround, I used the Funky Fossil "Carffeine Buzz Words stencil" with "Faded Jeans" Distress Oxide Inks.

I used StazOn "Blue Hawaii" ink to stamp the sentiment on to a sheet of Shrink plastic.  I die cut it into shape and pierced a hole in the top then heated.  In the photo above, you can see how much it shrank.  I placed some Baker's Twine through the hole in the shrink plastic and then tied it to the card, to make it look like the tag was hanging.

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing a selection of new products, this Friday 18th June 2021, including new stamps, washi tapes, patterned papers and dies.

For this sample, I have used one of the new A7 stamps, called "Letterpress" for the background feature.  Stamped in Wow! Clear embossing ink with Wow! Clear embossing powder and heat set.

I tore strips of the new Funky Fossil "Neutrals Washi Tape" and added it to two edges of the stamped image.

Finally, I used cut a Funky Fossil "Thank you" sentiment using their die and adhered on to the card.

Lavinia Stamps "Fairy Toadstool" - A Magical Wish Card

I have had a thought about making some cards and asking Willow, our 7 year old Grandaughter to write a story about what she can see in the card.  I don't know if this is something she would like to do, but I thought it would give her creative licence to write a little story.

For this card, I have used a Brusho background.  I've used Lavinia Stamps throughout and have stamped in various shades of Versafine Clair inks.  I've added extra touches of colour using a Sakura gold shimmer pen, Posca Pens and a black fine liner.

Funky Fossil "Plant a Garden" Father's Day Card

Father's Day is just around the corner, so I decided to create a card suitable for the occasion, even though I actually don't need to these days - it's the 20th June here in the UK.

I've made this card using the Funky Fossil Designs "Plant a garden" stamp set, which I have paired with two of their new A7 stamps (Grungy and Vintage Script) over their "Tropical Leaves" stencilled background.

I've used Distress Oxide Inks for the colouring and Versafine Clair inks for the stamping.

Funky Fossil Designs New "A7 Background" stamps release day

Today, Friday 4th June 2021, Funky Fossil Designs are releasing six new A7 size stamps which are ideal for backgrounds.  They are available to purchase from the site, or you may like to tune in to "The Craft Store"  at 5pm and 9pm (Sky 673, Freesat 817 or Freeview 85 or view on-line), when Sarah Gray of Funky Fossil will be demonstrating with the new stamps.

I've created this card using the new A7 "Vintage Script: and the new A7 "Chevrons" stamps, along with Funky Fossil washi tapes.

For the main focal point, I have used the Funky Fossil "Butterfly Wishes" stamp set, which is actually reduced at the moment.
