This morning I have been in Lavinia mode, making this birthday card. It has lots of sparkle, which unfortunately the photograph doesn't really pick up very well, so I've made a little video clip of it too.
To start this card, I used "Picked Raspberry" and "Seedless Preserve" Distress Oxide inks through a Lavinia Stamps stencil, called "Pods". Making it darker at the base and fading out at the top.
I repeat stamped Lavinia "Words of Spring" stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink around the edges. I deliberately made it light, by second generation stamping, as I didn't want it to be too bold, wanting it to remain in the background, but filling a space all the same.
I used Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink to stamp the Lavinia "Luna Lights" suspended from the top of the card.
Next I stamped the Lavinina fairy called "Rue" and the "Spanish Moss" dangling from the top of the card, in Versafine Clair "Purple Delight". Using the same ink, I stamped the Lavinia "Vine" at the bottom left of the card.
The sentiment is also stamped in "Purple Delight" and is part of a Personal Impressions stamp set called "Double Sayings".
I then moved on to adding extra detail using a white and a silver glitter Signo Pen and a gold Sakura gel pen. I used assorted shades of liquid pearls and added some "Crystal" stickles for extra glitter.
This is an absolutely stunning card Sam,the stamping, colours and layout are perfect
