Lavinia Stamps Red Pines and Reindeer Tag

A couple of days ago, I ordered the two new stamps from Lavinia Stamp, both of them are Red Pine Trees, in large and in small.  They arrived today, so I thought I'd better try them out.

I had an off cut of a cling wrap background, so decided that would be perfect for the base of my tag, although it can barely be seen with all the other ink I have added.

I started by masking off the moon area, using Distress Oxide Inks to create the sky and land areas.  I removed the mask and added some touches of yellow to the moon, then got down to stamping.  I stamped the new "Red Pine" Trees in two shades of Distress Oxide Ink and also some Versafine Clair inks.

I stamped the reindeer in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink, and used three words from one of the sentiment stamps called "Spirit of Christmas".

I used a white and then a silver glitter Signo Pen for the ground detail.

Funky Fossil Designs "Animal Tile Stenci" and "Wild Things" Stamp Set

I had a play with some Funky Fossil goodies today, to make this card.

I used the Funky Fossil "Animal Tiles" stencil and three Distress Oxide Inks (Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Ground Espresso) to create the background panel.

The giraffe is a stamp from a Funky Fossil set called "Wild Things".  I stamped the giraffe in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink on a separate piece of card, painting it with "Wild Honey" Distress Oxide Ink and then cutting the image out and sticking onto the prepared base.

The sentiment of "Thinking of you" is from another Funky Fossil stamp set called "Small Print"

Lavinia Stamps "Celeste" Fairy Card

You may have noticed, I have not shared many cards or makes this past month.  I had totally lost my crafting mojo and couldn't bring myself to even consider crafting.  I find it odd that I should feel like this as crafting is what I do!  Thank goodness I had an urge to dust off my Lavinia Stamps and create this card.

The background was inspired by a technique created by the super talented Eileen Godwin using (Squeezed Lemonade and Abandoned Coral) Distress Oxide Inks.  I then used "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide ink through the Lavinia "Laurel" Stencil.

I moved on to the stamping, first stamping the script, which is a Lavinia Stamp called "See a fairy, make a wish", stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  I then used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp "Celeste" the fairy and the "Mystic Swirls" to each side of the fairy.

Trick or Treat Bags

I still don't really feel like crafting, but yesterday I made up some "Trick or Treat" bags to give to the neighbouring children.  These are just for a select few of the children that live closest to me.  With the whole Covid situation, I doubt we will have many knocking on our door to "Trick or Treat".

I buy packs of ten kraft paper bags from Home Bargains.  I think their primary use is lunch bags, but they're handy to have for all sorts of things, so I used them as the base for the bags, stamping a few spooky images and making a hang tag.  I've made five in total.

Visible Image "Love is Love" Anniversary Card

For the past month or so, I have taken a total break from any form of paper crafting.  I felt I needed it to recharge my batteries.  Instead I have picked up an unfinished quilt project and have been enjoying working on that.  We've also managed to get away in the camper van and the caravan too, which has been lovely.

Yesterday I realised I have a few occasions coming up where I need to make cards, so started with this one, using a background I had in my stash, I think it was partial spray ink and also some mopping up colour from my glass mat.

I used the Visible Image "Love is love" stamp set for the two heads, stamped in Versafine Clair "Purple Delight".  Inside the card I have used the Visible Image "Happy Anniversary" stamp for the sentiment.

This is the sewing project I'm working on at the moment.
