Funky Fossil Dragonfly Duo and Dancing Dragonflies card

I'd ordered some stencils from Funky Fossil which arrived today, so I couldn't wait to try some.

I already had some backgrounds prepared from a previous session, so opted to use one using Distress Oxide Inks.  I find it makes projects a lot quicker to make when inspiration strikes.

I used "Wilted Violet" Distress Oxide Ink through the "Dancing Dragonflies" stencil.  I then used a "Black Texture Paste" through the "Dragonfly Duo" stencil and left to dry for an hour or so.

To break up the background colour, I added white dots using a Posca Pen.  On the vein areas of the main dragonfly I used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen to give a subtle gold shimmer.

Finally, using a Papertrey Ink stamp and Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink, I stamped the sentiment of "The sun will come out tomorrow".
