Week 46 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019

The prompt for Week 46 is "3D/Decoupage".

I decided to go with a Christmas theme for my tag, starting with a patterned paper background.  I edged the tag in two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Peeled Paint and Fired Brick using a blending tool.  I then stamped the "Merry Christmas" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Chianti" which is a deep shade of red.

For the lantern, I used an Imagination Crafts stamp from their "Decoupage Range".  I stamped out the whole image twice and the holly three times in Versafine "Stormy Gray" ink.

I coloured the image using a selection of Distress Oxide Inks:

• Antique Linen
• Squeezed Lemonade
• Mustard Seed
• Carved Pumpkin
• Fired Brick
• Barn Door 
• Weathered Wood

The fussy cutting around the lantern and the holly took a while but I got there in the end, layering the images up using foam pads to provide a decoupage/3D look to the image.
