Week 41 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019
The prompt for Week 41 is "Glamour"
I'm a little earlier posting the prompt for Week 41 as I have a busy weekend ahead of me and I didn't want to over look posting the prompt and tag. At least it gives you a few extra days to ponder on what you can create.
When I think of glamour, it is generally linked to a bygone era, so I have opted for a 1920's feel for my tag.
I started with a cream coloured tag and stamped a script across it in a Versafine Clair ink called "Golden Meadow", it is a shade of yellow bordering on green.
I lightly used a Distress Oxide called "Crushed Olive" over the top of the script and then used another called "Gathered Twigs" to go around the edges to give a more dated feel to the tag.
I dug out some old clear stamps I've had for more years than I care to remember, I think they are by Kanban. One has three flapper type ladies with sentiments, another has perfume bottles with sentiments and the third has some 1920's style designs, all that I thought would suit the era I decided to depict on my tag.
Using a couple of the border stamps, I stamped a long edge and a corner in Versarine Clair "Nocturne" shade of black ink. Using the same ink, I stamped the "Elegance" sentiment, which was part of the perfume bottle set of stamps.
I stamped the female figure using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist", I coloured the hair, dress and shoes using a fine tip black marker. I added a dot of red to the lips too.
Using a paint brush and the "Shaded Lilac" Distress oxide, I coloured in the womans coat.
