Week 22 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019

The prompt for Week 22 is "Stars"

For my pastel tag: I started by stamping the tree branch which is a Lavinia Stamp using Versafine "Stormy Gray" ink.  I applied some Distress Oxide Ink in a shade called "Spun Sugar" with a paint brush to the tag and around the branch.

Using a the same Versafine ink, I stamped the "twinkle" sentiment which is part of a Stampin' Up set called "Moon Baby".  Using "star" stamps from the same set and a Versamark ink pad and WOW! Embossing Powder in the shade of "Opaque Bright White", which I then heat embossed.

Finally, I used an x-cut punch to cut star shapes out of silver glitter paper.  These were adhered to the tag and then lines drawn from the tree branch to the stars, to give the impression they are hanging.  I then inked the edge of the tag, again using Versafine Ink in the shade of "Stormy Gray".

For my bright tag:  I started by using a Distress Ink in the shade of "Peeled Paint" through a stencil/mask by Creative Expressions, I think it is called "Star Turn".

I then stamped a verse, using Lavinia Stamps "Sacred Spells" in Versafine Clair ink in the shade of "Verdant".  I cut a yellow strip of paper and adhered it to the left hand side of the tag.  Then went around the edge of the tag using a stamp from a Visible Image set called "Somewhere In Time" in Versafine Clair "Blue Belle".  I then stamped the word "Lucky" in the same ink.

Finally, I stamped some stars.  The star stamp was part of a free set that came with an old issue of "Paper Craft Essentials" magazine.  I stamped the stars in various colours of Versafine Clair ink, cut them out and adhered along the seam line of the yellow strip.
