Lavinia Stamps February 2019 Monthly Challenge #2

Every month, Lavinia Stamps have a monthly challenge.  As part of the Design Team, we are asked to produce samples to promote the challenge and inspire crafters to take part.  This is my second sample for this challenge, with a prompt of "A Place To Escape To".

I was trying to think, where I escape to.  Every day, I escape within the pages of a book, but that is not so easy to replicate using Lavinia Stamps.  I then got to think about the area I live in.  I'm very fortunate to have beaches just a ten minute drive and sometimes there is nothing better than sitting on the headland and watching the sun going down on a summer evening.

For my card, I used a lot of different shades of Distress Oxide Inks to create the landscape.  I used:  Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserve for the sky.  I then stamped the pixie image called "Star Gazing" in Versafine "Black Onyx".  For the water I used Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood and for the foreground, the setting sun and the section of land jutting out into the sea, I used a selection of green, grey and black Distress Inks.  Finally, I used a silver glitter Signo Pen for the detail on the wings and water.
