Brusho Play Through A Stencil - gone wrong!

Today I have been trying to use up bits and pieces that have been loitering at the back of my craft desk for a while.

A few weeks back, I had a play with Brusho through a stencil, unfortunately, through my poor choice of paper, the Brusho spread beneath the stencil and lost the definition of the pattern.  I loath to throw anything away, so kept it as a "just in case I can use it" piece.  

I decided to cut up the patterned Brusho paper into one inch strips.  I then mounted them onto a piece of turquoise green cardstock, leaving an 1/8th" between each section and glued into position.

On a co-ordinating off-cut of cardstock, I stamped the word "Hello" in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink. (The word is part of a Stampin' Up set called "Sale-A-Bration Hello").

Using another Stampin' Up product, the "Swirly Scribbles Thinlits", I die cut two of the swirly circles in white card.  I threaded the "Hello" banner through the two circles and glued into postion.

All in all, considering the background was heading for the bin, I think it was a successful rescue project. At least it is one less thing in the far corner of my desk.
