Week 9 of the 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge and the prompt for this week is: "My Obsession".
I have realised I have many obsessions. I'm a bit OCD, I have a thing about crafting, cooking, reading and more recently running but one that I have always had is arriving somewhere on time. So this is what I decided to do my tag on.
I inked the background in various shades of beige. Then used the Stampin' Up, "Gorgeous Grunge" to stamp the splat marks in a dark red shade. I don't recall where the stamp of the timepiece came from as I've had it for over ten years. I used an off-cut of a honeycomb die which I found in my scraps box and used stickers for the wording.
A brief look into the life of a crafter interested paper crafting, sewing, baking and reading.

"Wishing You Well" (By The Tide) Card
Idly playing with paper while listening to the TV, I made this card.
The textured section uses the Stampin' Up "Seaside" embossing folder. The sea shells are stamps from the "By The Tide" Stampin' Up set. The sentiment is a stamp produced by Papertrey Ink and is part of their "Everyday Classics" set.

Week 8 - 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2017
So here we are on Week 8 of the 2017 Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge.
The prompt for Week 8 is "Water".
Earlier in the week, I started writing down ideas for what I was going to do for this prompt. My page was full, so it was hard to decide. On checking the dictionary for a definition the words "Vital For Life" seemed to jump out to me so that decided the path I would take for this tag.
I stamped some waterdrops on the tag using "Designs By Ryn" stamp. I tore a strip of patterned paper and stuck it to the left hand side and then added some splash marks using "Stampin' Up "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp.
I then stamped the H2O and added letter stickers for the "Vital For Life", then die cut into a circle. I added some punched foliage, flowers and ribbon to complete the tag.
Don't forget to leave a comment or contact me on Facebook with your creations from this challenge. I'd love to see them.

Thinking Of You Today Card (Stampin' Up By The Tide)
For this card I used a prepared Panpastel background in shades of lemon, greens and mauves.
First I stamped the weeds at the base of the card. I used a Unity Stamp Co stamp from the set called "Fishy Philosophy". Both the seahorse and the fish are stamps from the Stampin' Up set called "By The Tide". The sentiment is a Papertrey Ink stamp from their set called "Every Day Classics" which I die cut using a Spellbinder die. I finished the card off by adding some clear crystal gems to provide the impression of air bubbles.

Spellbinder "Majestic Oval" Good Luck Card
I decided to play with dies for my first card of the day, using the Spellbinders Nestabilities "Majestic Oval" die set in two shades.

High Tide Tag
I've been playing with tags. Using a tag with a Panpastel background I used some of the stamps from the Stampin' Up "High Tide" set.
I think this tag looks very moody.

Week 7 - 52 Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2017
Wow, week 7 already. The prompt for this week is "Love".
Having recently purchased the Stampin' Up "Lift Me Up" stamp and die bundle I thought I'd put it to use with the tag for this week.
Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Week.

P.S. Don't forget I'd love to see your makes too!
A Valentine's Button Card
This evening I have been playing with buttons creating this simple but effective card. The word "Love" is from the Stampin' Up thinlit set called "Expressions".

30th Birthday Card (Lift Me Up)
It came as a surprise to me when I realised that our eldest son will be 30 this week. Making a card for a male is always a bit of a challenge but I'm quite happy with the way this one has turned out.
For the background of this card I used the Stampin' Up "Seaside" embossing folder. I then stamped and die cut the balloons using the "Lift Me Up" stamp set and "Up & Away Thinlit Dies.
For the sentiment I used is by Rubbadubbadoo using a Spellbinder die to cut the shape.

Week 6 - 52 Art Card/Tag Challenge 2017
Well here we are on Week 6 and the prompt is "Rain".
Earlier in the week when I made the tag for Week 6, I could not have imagined I could match the prompt and the weather any better. It was a gloomy wet day - and I think this tag reflects that very well.
I started by inking the background in streaks of grey and lilac. I then stamped and die cut some clouds from the Stampin' Up "Lift Me Up" stamp set. I continued die cutting the umbrella and raindrops, both from the Stampin' Up set called "Weather Together". I coated the umbrella in "Glossy Accents" to provide a wet look. The sentiment of "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down" is written on a Spellbinder die cut.
I'd love to know if you are following this challenge and see your creations.

Two Panpastel Tags
Having woken early today, I got cracking with the prepared Panpastel tags. This is the first one:
I used a "Teasels" stamp from the Botanicals range by Bee Crafty. The dragonfly is by Stampin' Up, called "Dragonfly Dreams".
This second tag uses a selection of Tim Hotz stamps.

Panpastel Background Tags
I've had a productive weekend with crafting. It started off on Saturday evening, preparing tag Panpastel backgrounds. It can be quite messy, so I tend to keep to the same colours in one session.

Get Well Soon (Paisley & Posies) Card
I made this card using a Memento Ink Pad in "Paris Dusk" shade stamped using the Stampin' Up Paisleys & Posies" stamp set to create the patterned background. The sentiment was made using a Spellbinder "Jubilee Tags" die set.
Valentine Card
There are so many cards for me to make for February occassions. But one of my favourite is a Valentine card. Hubby and I have been together for close on 35 years so he's pretty familiar with my makes.
For this card I used a sheet of scrapbook paper cut to size with words relating to Valentines Day mounted onto a piece of patterned paper. I then used a Spellbinder die set called "Lace Hearts", cutting two layers of dies in two different papers. To finish, I added tiny sticky crystal gem detail to the lattice.
