Today is Day 72 of the Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay challenge. This week is all about using crayons.
I was experimenting with melting a wax crayon with a heat gun and allowing the wax to drip down the book page. When the wax had dried it made me think of blood, so this took me towards the dark side, evolving into this.
I used "Shadow Grey" Archival Ink through the Visible Image "Dark Hearts Stencil". I then used "Jet Black" Archival Ink though the Visible Image "Ye Olde Christmas Stencil".
I added extra colour to the background using "Sea Grass" Archival Ink and then inked the edges with "Tulip Red" Versafine Clair Ink.
I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the butterfly, which is the Visible Image "Live Life Now" stamp. Finally, I added a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Clipping Sticker saying "A glimpse of heaven".
I have melted crayons with the heat gun before and must admit the outcome is awesome, your project is awesome too and deffo on the dark side x

DeleteThis dark side card also has a bright side with that wonderful red melted crayon Sam, and I love the gothic script, music and skulls, and the black butterfly is gorgeous. x
