The daughter of a friend of ours is very, very poorly in hospital. At first the Doctor said it was tonsilitis but within a day she was in hospital with glandular fever. The poor girl is only 13 and endured the pain of a lumber puncture yesterday, with the hospital checking her liver and heart too. She is such a lovely girl and doesn't deserve to be in this situation, so my thoughts are with her and her parents.
This card is a middle of the night make as I coldn't sleep. I used the brand new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink shade which was released last week called "Kitsch Flamingo", purchased from Art From The Heart, brayered on to a card to achieve a graduated look of colour. I then splattered the surface with water droplets by gently tapping a fan brush.
I used the Funky Fossil slimline "Flower Border" stencil for the decorative edge detail with "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide Ink.
I then stamped the "Thinking of you" sentiment, which is from the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set in Versafine Clair "Monarch" purple ink.
A beautiful card for this poor girl,I hope she makes a quick recovery and has no lasting ill effects, love the girly pinks
