Lavinia Stamps - Snail Set Tag on a Distress Oxide Ink background
I decided I couldn't wait to use my tag background I made this morning, so got cracking with my Lavinia Stamps.
In case you're wondering what I'm talking about, earlier today I posted a couple of backgrounds I made on tags.
Initially, I played about with positions of the mushrooms and snails, as I wanted to create a 3D like image. I stamped the "Meadow Mushrooms" in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink for the ones closest and Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink for the ones further back, this helps to create the perspective of distance.
I then stamped the snails using the "Snail Set", the "Luna Lights", "Creeping Vine" and "Willow" all stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
I masked off a circle in the sky for the moon/sun and edged it to make it stand out from the rest of the background.
I created a landscape using a torn edge of a piece of copy paper and dragging a blending tool downwards to gently distribute ink.
I used several colours of Posca Pen to create a floral landscape (little tiny dots of colour). I used a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen to add touches of subtle gold shimmer to the snails, mushrooms and the lanterns.
